Bamberg, Germany

Partly cloudy and cold

Arrived in Bamberg this morning and spent the morning walking thru the shops and crossing the bridges over the Regnitz River. The town has Roman origins, saw the beginning of Bishop Princes and witch trials which claimed a thousand victims. Besides the typical cathedrals and half wood homes, the highlight of the city would be visiting the Farmers Market of fresh produce.

Cheryl and I experienced our first true German Brat for lunch.  Not bad- but not very filling either.  It's been a long time since I purchased a glass bottle of Coke (0.33 liter bottle) and able to return it to the vendor and receive money back for returning the bottle.

The shopping in the city was pretty typical and not much for us to shop for.  Stores were similar to shopping in the USA.  Due to the chill in the air, we caught the bus back to the ship a bit early and enjoyed a hot chocolate and took it easy.
