Overcast and cool with light rain
Wow what a night of good sleep makes. Woke up feeling refreshed and ready for the day. Had a good breakfast and then caught a canal tour of Amsterdam. The canal tour dropped us off in front of the Anne Frank Haus and we then walked to the Dam Square, which is the center of the town market. The national government complex is located there and we realized that only a few weeks ago the Netherlands appointed a new king. 
Lunch and we finally set sail for Germany, Cologne being our next destination.
Passed thru, for the first time today, an actually canal lock. This is the first of some 66 locks that we will pass thru to Vienna and travel approximately 1200 miles.
