An RV in our Driveway

This past weekend, Taylor, Cheryl and I, took an excursion into the farthest NorthEast area of Utah. Browns Park is the old stomp'n grounds for Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. This is the area where they would hide out and venture into the surrounding states to write their story in the pages of histroy.

Well, I've decided to send Taylor out to Browns Park for the summer to work on one of our most recent projects. So concerned with where he will live and having never seen the project myself we headed out on Friday night.

Spent Friday evening in Rock Springs, Wyoming and then Saturday morning bright and early turn the vehicle south to the Flaming Gorge Recreational Area. It didn't take long for us to determine that we didn't have much choice of living arrangements in Dutch John. We checked into a couple of the "Dude Ranches" and found out that there was no long term rentals available so we had two choices, purchase/rent a trailer or camp out. We reserved a trailer spot in Dutch John.

So the past week we have been checking all of the trailer ads looking for a "used trailer" at the right price. We did find out that if you don't watch the local website the "used trailer at the right price" goes quickly, hmm within 2 hours after posting, give me a break, some of us work for a living you know. Well after a day of searching the web and traveling and looking at a few trailers, we just couldn't come to a warm and fuzzy feeling about purchasing a used trailer.

So today, Cheryl ventured out and found some "new" trailers to look out and by 6:30pm this evening we are the proud owners of a 25 foot trailer. Unbelievable!! I never thought that I would be a trailer owner. Hmm, where am I going to store my new moble home? Better start looking for a RV Storage lot.

Taylor, well needless to say he is thrilled or spoiled with the new unit to live in. It's a great trailer with a queen bed, stereo system, cable tv hook up, and air conditioning. It will sleep up to six, but I figure that our grandchildren and children will need to experience the great outdoors like I did for years, that is on the ground in a tent. Sorry, just don't have room for everyone if we all go camping at the same time. Taylor can almost stand up in the shower, okay his head fills the bubble vent area. It will be a nice unit for him to stay in.

I guess I can be proud that I can provide for my son while he begins his construction career but then again on second thought what a wonderful way to spend the weekend. Cheryl and I can go out take over the trailer and fish the Green, I just might get use to owning this trailer yet.

Hall of Fames and Bucket Lists

Well I started playing around on my blog site the other day and ended up adding a few new page elements and giving the whole blog a different look. Hence, I thought that I should at least post a new blog.

First, let me introduce you to our Hall of Fame Gallery. Cheryl and I have in our new home a hallway dedicated to our family pictures. Here is where we hang all of the pictures that bring back the "fond" memories of gathering the children, keeping them clean and waiting for the photographer to say "cheese". We can also look back and say, "Did I really dress like that?" Now directly across from these pictures, Cheryl and I have started a new photo gallery which we call our Hall of Fame. Here we hang pictures that bring back fond memories of parties, camping trips and achievements that our family has accomplished over the years. These are the pictures that make us laugh, cry and smile with fond love for each other. In memory of our Hall of Fame Hallway, I thought it appropriate to share some of those fun pictures with you on our blog and so we have created "The Hall of Fame Gallery" I hope that you all enjoy as much as Cheryl and I have over the years.

Recently, Cheryl and I saw the movie "The Bucket List". What a great movie! After viewing the movie we began to talk and decide that we would develop our own "Bucket List". So the final page element added to the blog is our Bucket List of things that we want to accomplish before we kick the bucket. Now this is a living list that will grow and change depending upon the things that we accomplish and upon the priorities that we establish over time. We share our list with the family and hope that they will be able to share in our accomplishment with us.

Well enough Fro-Frau on the website. Hope all enjoy the changes.
