Day 91: The Roof Line Appears

Day 91:
We haven't seen any progress on the house all week until Friday. Monday the framers started and then disappeared leaving us with only half a framed home. Yesterday, however, our missing framers reappeared and have nearly completed the framing of the home. As you can see the trusses are now in place, the interior framing is close to being completed, the patio deck is framed and the basement is nearly framed out also.


Every time we walk thru the home, our dream becomes more and more an reality. Today we picked out the rock, stucco, and trim for our home. Now every time we go by a similar style home we are studying the stucco colors to see if that is what we really selected and is our rock going to match. This is all by memory of course since we don't have any large samples of our selections just a piece of paper that says what the colors are. I think we started debating the color scheme as soon as we walked out of suppliers business and looked across the street at a stucco business and said, "I think that that is the same color as what we have picked out".

Yea, right!
