Day 77 and still counting

Day 77, finally demonstrated some substantial progress on the house. As with most of the construction around here, April brought a lot of stormy weather. It took nearly a week for the damp proofing subcontractor to complete the work due to afternoon showers.

Day 77 is a milestone date. We are now ready to start the framing. As you can see the foundation is complete, utility services installed, foundation back filled, and basement slab and garage slab placed, and the lot has been roughed graded.
We even have met with the contractor and reviewed the plans and noted changes to the plan before the framing begins.

I feel as if the house construction is going to rapidly accelerate now. We'll have to wait and see.

Wow! As I read these last few weeks of Blogs, I realize why I am tired and sooo happy! We are so blessed and must always acknowledge the Lord's hand in our blessings! We love our children and grandchildren and ALL the joy they bring to us! Wow!

Hi Jeff and Cheryl,
Like Cheryl said, you two are so blessed and I'm so thrilled for the both of you. What a great blessing to be able to stay in Highland and be able to build a beautiful house. The house is coming along and before you know it, the framing will be done. Can't wait to see the house when I get back into the states. I'm so thankful to have a friend named, Cheryl. having a great time with the grandbabies, lots of work but what a blessing to be with them.
